When Is DOT Alcohol Testing Required?
Ross Health Care Clinic performs alcohol testing for all federally required situations, including:
Post-Accident Testing
Drivers involved in qualifying accidents may be required to complete DOT alcohol testing within federally mandated timeframes.
Reasonable Suspicion Testing
When a trained supervisor observes signs of alcohol misuse, DOT regulations require immediate testing.
Return-to-Duty Testing
Drivers returning to safety-sensitive work following a DOT violation must complete return-to-duty alcohol testing before resuming work.
Follow-Up Testing
Additional alcohol testing may be required according to the driver’s Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) treatment plan.
